The department offers M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. in the field of Animal Biotechnology. The department is offering Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Animal Biotechnology. The postgraduate programmes in Animal Biotechnology focus on study of the basic and applied biotechnology, fundamentals of cell and molecular Biology, Animal cell culture principles and applications, techniques related to molecular biology and genetic engineering, molecular diagnostics and reproductive biotechnology. The department also focuses on animal genomics, basic concepts of bioinformatics and their applications in Animal Biotechnology. Currently one PhD student is enrolled in Ph.D. programme of department.
