Dr. Sukhdeep Vohra is working as principal scientist in the department of Veterinary Parasitology with more than 18 years of experience of teaching, research and extension. He joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Parasitology, College of Veterinary Sciences, LUVAS, Hisar on 13th March, 2009. Subsequently, he was promoted to the post of Senior Scientist and Principal Scientist in the year 2017 and 2020, respectively. Currently, Dr Vohra is having responsibility of Head of this Department since July, 2020. He is also the nodal officer of DVLT diploma and editor of The Haryana Veterinarian scientific journal. Dr Vohra is having expertise in the diagnosis of parasitic mange and various commonly prevalent helminthic infections in animals. He has written more than 80 research articles in journals of National and International repute. Dr Vohra has contributed in several books, compendiums, teaching and training manuals for undergraduate and postgraduate students of veterinary science. He has secured 1st position in Poster Presentation Competition in International Symposium of Veterinary Public Health held at CSKHPKV Palampur from 12th to 14th October 2006. He also secured 1st position in Poster Presentation Competition in International Congress of Wild Life held at SKUAST Jammu in 2007. Dr Vohra has also received Best paper of the journal Award for research paper published in Journal of Veterinary Parasitology (2003). Dr Vohra also bagged best paper of the journal Award for research paper published in The Pharma Innovation (2019). He has guided three Ph.D. and four post graduate students. Currently under his guidance, department is working for the diagnosis of various hemoprotozoan and rickettsial diseases of livestock population of Haryana.
