Sports and games play a very important role in physical, mental and social development of human resource whereas the excellence in sports enhance the sense of achievements. For harnessing the potential of the youth and promoting sports, the University shares infrastructure with CCSHAU, Hisar. A well established and adequately equipped Giri Centre for Sports Activities is having facilities of Volleyball, Handball, Football, Basketball, Cricket, Kabaddi, Indoor Boxing, Indoor Wrestling, Indoor Badminton, Tennis, Athletics Synthetic Track, Table Tennis, Wushu and other games. Sports facilities for indoor games are also being created in the boys and girls Hostels. Considering the significance of sports for the students, University has made compulsory participation of all under-graduate students in sports/co-curricular activities. The university is offering 0+1 credit hours of course to all students through which every student of the university take part in the sports activity. Life skills such as leadership, teamwork, patience, and self-confidence are taught to students through the inclusion of sports in their academic journey. The Directorate of Student Welfare of the university organizes various tournaments /games for men and women student players of the university colleges/Institutes, organize coaching camps for selected student players and arrange to send the team in Inter-university and national University games/tournaments. Adventure sports activities are also conducted in various events i.e. Skiing Course, Motor Bike Tour and Trekking etc. Sports equipments/kits are issued to the students as well as to the university employees during tournaments. University students take part in various competitions and the position holder players get free meal, free milk and cash incentives.
