Livestock Farm Complex
About Department
The department of Livestock Farm Complex (LFC) was created in 34th meeting of Academic Council on 27.10.2016 in terms of notification of Veterinary Council of India regarding Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education (B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course) Regulations, 2016.
The department is actively involved in imparting quality teaching and hands on training to students in rearing of livestock species including poultry to improve their skill and competence in livestock production. The department provides the services of teaching with the facilities of housing, feeding, breeding, record keeping and management of large and small ruminant units, poultry and animals of regional interest. LFC provides research facilities to post graduate students / research scientists and also works as a model demonstration unit for students, trainees and livestock entrepreneurs.

Ø MANDATE OF THE DEPARTMENT
- To maintain different species of livestock and poultry for teaching, training and On Farm Research by university Scientists and PG students.
- To impart quality teaching and hands on training in rearing of different species of livestock and poultry.
Ø VISION OF THE DEPARTMENT
- To create state of the art modern livestock farm facilities for students’ teaching and entrepreneurial trainings.
- To establish Central Animal House facility for conducting research.
